Winemaker's notes
Woody Nook Wines Velvet Rose 2023 was made from a field blend of hand-picked varieties, all suited to this style and region. The ferment was arrested by chilling just prior to finishing, resulting in a medium sweet style containing 25gms/lt natural residual sugar. The beautiful deep colour and flavour come from the Shiraz component that was cold soaked on skins for 4 days at 2 C.
43% Shiraz, 32% Semillon, 15.5% Chardonnay, 9.5% Merlot.
391 cases were produced.
